Narrative:
While in initial turn entering hold (right turn) and speed set on autoplt mode control panel at 210 KTS (minimum maneuver speed 205 KTS), experienced stick shake moments later in 20-25 degree bank. Applied power (throttles were closed due to level change, descent to 9000'. Lag time produced increased shake. Lowered nose and altitude loss occurred approximately 400-500'. Notified ATC of descent and continued to 8000' for full recovery. Climbed back to 9000' per ATC request. No further actions required. No conflict. Autothrottle response was contributing factor.
