Narrative:
We requested de/anti-ice. Type iv was needed due to light snow and expected length of ground delay prior to takeoff. Aircraft was only partially deiced; however we received complete deice report including 'post deice/anti-ice check complete'.type iv had been applied to left wing but not right wing. Although there was confusion relating to one of the trucks running out of fluid; I believe the fundamental cause was that the person who told us 'post deice/anti-ice check complete' did not do the check.

Title: An A319 Captain reported the deicing crew advised deicing was complete although only one wing had received the required Type IV application.
