Anomaly | Inflight Event / Encounter Wake Vortex Encounter |
Narrative:
On arrival in phl we were cautioned about wake turbulence following a [widebody aircraft] on the crossing runway. I kept my approach a little high to avoid the wake. As we settled in to land; however; some of the wake must have still been there. Just before touchdown the plane dropped suddenly and I pulled on the yoke and added power to ease the descent. In doing so; the shaker activated for an instant before touchdown. We touched down safely and continued to the gate with no further incident.
