Narrative:
The engine abruptly lost power during cruise. I established best glide and reversed course to proceed to the closest field. I declared an emergency with approach and stated my intentions and also that I had a partial power loss. I switched to advisory frequency when over the field and made an uneventful landing. I called approach immediately after landing to terminate the emergency. The cause of the power loss was a broken fuel injection line from the distribution spider to the fuel injector at the #4 cylinder. The engine is a lycoming io-360a1a with approximately 500 hours since major overhaul.
