Narrative:
The shop has received another scored hub of a B747-400 main inboard (mib) wheel half. The shop has seen a large [number] of damage wheels since november of last year due to the heat shield coming loose during flight causing a score to the hub. Contract repair vendor wheel representative mr. X has been notified in the last several weeks regarding this trend. He notified me that he will contact their brake service center regarding these findings.

Title: A Mechanic reports his Shop has received a large number of B747-400 Main Inboard wheel halves with scored hubs. The inner heat shields are coming loose and causing scoring damage to the wheel half. He has recently scrapped two inner wheel halves for excessive scoring of the hub and believes the hub could fail in flight; causing a tire to explode.
