Narrative:
Captain was flying an ILS 34L approach to rjaa. No significant weather was displayed on the radar. We were about 15 miles from the airport; established on the localizer; passing 4;500 for 4;000 ft MSL. The flaps were at 1; airspeed was about 190 KTS. Encountered moderate turbulence and gained about 30 KTS. Wind shear recovery procedure was executed. As we executed the wind shear recovery procedure; we encountered severe turbulence (large fluctuations of angle of bank; pitch; altitude; and airspeed). Then we lost 50 KTS of airspeed and momentarily got the stick shaker. Finished recovery procedure and made a PIREP reporting the severe turbulence/windshear. Captain chose to return for another ILS 34L approach behind another aircraft which was uneventful. There were no reported injuries or complaints from any of the passengers or the crew.
