Narrative:
I started the maintenance control write-up for the spoiler override actuator squib replacement early in the morning. I was working with mechanic Y. As the qualified person; I made sure he disarmed the off-wing escape slide system correctly per table-1 maintenance manual (MM) 25-65-00; page 201 series.after system disarmed; he replaced the squibs on both wings per MM 25-65-19 page 401 series. During re-arming process per table-2; when mechanic Y reconnected the right-hand side battery cannon plug; the squib fired and spoiler override actuator extended. Also; the right-hand overwing slide door dropped; but did not inflate.
