Narrative:

At 100 KTS on takeoff roll a vibration occurred, aborted takeoff was begun. A loud bang was heard, a tire was suspected to have blown. Tower was notified. Shortly thereafter the aircraft pulled right, as the other tire on the right blew. Use of rudder and nose wheel steering kept the aircraft on centerline. Reverse was used primarily for stopping, some use of brakes were applied, but minimally due to temperature 85 and possibility of blowing tires on left side runway length (13000') was not considered a factor (2500' remained at completion of stop). Fire truck was called. No fire occurred. Brake area was sprayed with dry powder. Supplemental information from acn 94314: normal egress from the aircraft after it was confirmed that no other problems existed by tower and the firemen.

Title: ACR MLG TKOF ABORT WHEN TIRES FAILED AT 100 KTS.

Narrative: AT 100 KTS ON TKOF ROLL A VIBRATION OCCURRED, ABORTED TKOF WAS BEGUN. A LOUD BANG WAS HEARD, A TIRE WAS SUSPECTED TO HAVE BLOWN. TWR WAS NOTIFIED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE ACFT PULLED RIGHT, AS THE OTHER TIRE ON THE RIGHT BLEW. USE OF RUDDER AND NOSE WHEEL STEERING KEPT THE ACFT ON CENTERLINE. REVERSE WAS USED PRIMARILY FOR STOPPING, SOME USE OF BRAKES WERE APPLIED, BUT MINIMALLY DUE TO TEMP 85 AND POSSIBILITY OF BLOWING TIRES ON LEFT SIDE RWY LENGTH (13000') WAS NOT CONSIDERED A FACTOR (2500' REMAINED AT COMPLETION OF STOP). FIRE TRUCK WAS CALLED. NO FIRE OCCURRED. BRAKE AREA WAS SPRAYED WITH DRY POWDER. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 94314: NORMAL EGRESS FROM THE ACFT AFTER IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT NO OTHER PROBS EXISTED BY TWR AND THE FIREMEN.
