Narrative:

Climbing through FL210 tail compartment [temperature hi] light came on for 3 seconds and went out before red box procedures could be completed. Leveled at FL230 for about five minutes and the light stayed out and did not come back on. There is no procedure for momentary illumination of the light and elected to continue to our destination. Having thought about this I now think that returning for a maintenance inspection would have been the safest decision.
