Narrative:
I was assigned to work on the aircraft tow crew. We were also assigned to work a #3 service check. During the check; we wrote up both nose landing gear (nlg) tires as 'worn.' during the replacement of the nlg tires; I noticed that something was missing. According to the maintenance manual (MM); the part missing was called a 'casing' (reference MM-32-41-12; page 403 item #9). At this point we completed the rh nlg tire installation and generated a maintenance write-up item for the missing [casing].
