Narrative:
On descent into ZZZ we received a master warning 'bleed 1 leak.' after running the checklist; the bleed leak indication remained. We then shut down the left engine and declared an emergency. The subsequent descent and landing were uneventful.

Title: An EMB-145 flight crew shut down the left engine when they were unable to extinguish a Bleed 1 leak Master Warning light by the checklists.
Narrative: On descent into ZZZ we received a Master Warning 'Bleed 1 Leak.' After running the checklist; the bleed leak indication remained. We then shut down the left engine and declared an emergency. The subsequent descent and landing were uneventful.
