February 2011; I worked in a B767-300 cargo compartment. June 2011; my supervisor informed me they found a long [section of] cargo pit tape covering the fire nozzles in the cargo pits. To the best of my knowledge I didn't notice; during visual inspection; any tape covering the nozzles.

Title: A Line Mechanic was informed that he failed to notice the Forward Cargo Compartment Fire Extinguishing Discharge Nozzles on a B767-300 aircraft had been covered with cargo pit tape at the upper end of the left-hand vertical sidewall panels where they meet the ceiling panels.
Narrative: February 2011; I worked in a B767-300 Cargo Compartment. June 2011; my Supervisor informed me they found a long [section of] cargo pit tape covering the fire nozzles in the cargo pits. To the best of my knowledge I didn't notice; during visual inspection; any tape covering the nozzles.
