Narrative:
I was assigned to inspect the forward (fwd) cargo compartment of a B767-300 aircraft in accordance with the specified job card. After the aircraft had been released for flight; I was notified that I had signed-off the required inspection items (rii); but had overlooked a few unairworthy fire discharge nozzles. The fire discharge nozzles had apparently been taped over.
