Narrative:

Leaving 30;000 ft; I noticed the 'right oil filter' illuminated. I referred to the QRH and read procedure to the captain to reduce thrust; and if light does not go out; refer to engine failure/shutdown checklist. Light did not go out after approximately 4 minutes; initiated shutdown checklist. Followed QRH; declared emergency; called local maintenance; sent message to dispatch to let them know situation. Checked non-normal landing distance in fom; and notified ATC to have emergency equipment standing by. Landed with no further incident. Captain determined that our destination airport was suitable considering our altitude and distance from the field and I agreed.
