Narrative:
The engine began running rough and no change was noted after adjusting mixture; fuel pump; prop; throttle; etc. Turned back for the airport and engine stalled. Was able to start again by forcefully advancing throttle but not necessary as I was fortunately very close to the airport and around 4;000 AGL. I descended into the pattern and landed without incident; exited onto a taxi way and was towed to a nearby FBO.

Narrative: The engine began running rough and no change was noted after adjusting mixture; fuel pump; prop; throttle; etc. Turned back for the airport and engine stalled.
