Narrative:
Approximately two hours from land fall the captain called back to tell us he was shutting down the right engine due to loss of oil pressure. He then advised us that we would be diverting to the first available foreign airport and making an emergency landing. We were not advised to do our planned emergency checklist. Captain said to just to do thirty second review (what type of doors and commands). [He was] planning on normal landing. Landing was normal; crash trucks met aircraft and we then parked at gate. After close to one hour with passengers on aircraft; we were able to deplane and keep passengers at in-transit lounge. New aircraft was flown in; and our cockpit and flight attendants re-boarded (approximately 4.5-5 hours later) and continued to our planned destination with new aircraft and passengers.
