Narrative:
Upon returning to hemet ryan from corona, in the area of lake elsinore and canyon lake, I could see a large dust cloud from the east. This dust cloud originated east of hemet and was about one half mi south of the airport, from ground to about 3000 AGL and extended to lake elsinore (20 plus mi). I flew to hemet, north of this wind and dust in clean air. Unicom at hemet was reporting gusts up to 40 KTS from the north. I made a straight in approach to 05 and forgot to put my landing gear down. I landed gear up on the runway. Propeller strike and a small amount of skin scraped. 'An incident.' no injuries. Factors - unusual approach to home airport (normal 23 left traffic). Aware of varying cross winds. Mind too preoccupied on cross wind landing and gusts of wind. Forgot to lower gear and to check and verify gear location.
