Narrative:
During descent from FL380 to FL360 as engine came back at start of descent heard loud thump thump thump followed by ECAM engine 1 stall. EPR went to zero; ignition came on and engine recovered on its own. Followed up with engine 1 stall procedures and continued to destination with no other indications. Maintenance met aircraft and gave them engine stall report. No additional help asked for from ATC nor given.
