Narrative:
Wind reported 290 degrees 25 KTS. Assigned takeoff runway 1R. At initial power application, engine #3 gave compressor stall due to crosswind. Checked communication for abnormal procedures. No temperature or other limits exceeded. Takeoff aborted below 20 KTS, no brake energy limits exceeded. Second attempt resulted in another compressor stall with same indications. Requested takeoff on runway 28R and takeoff was normal.
