Narrative:
Flying aircraft with thales FMS release 1A; changed runway in FMC; mcdu froze upon entry of new runway; and did not switch ILS frequencies. The other mcdu was similarly frozen. About 1 1/2 minutes elapsed until entries were accepted and actions began to occur in the mcdu (unfroze). The thales box is non-airworthy and thales/airbus should be notified that this is so; and that they are responsible for the ramifications thereof.
Original NASA ASRS Text
