Narrative:
While attempting a landing at denver airport on runway 26L with a 7 KT tailwind, the flare carried the aircraft beyond a normal T/D point. As captain in command, it became apparent the safest course of action was to go around. Which I commanded. A normal go around was executed and we were vectored to an uneventful landing on runway 17L.

Title: ACR HVT GO AROUND FROM DOWNWIND LNDG APCH FLARE.
Narrative: WHILE ATTEMPTING A LNDG AT DENVER ARPT ON RWY 26L WITH A 7 KT TAILWIND, THE FLARE CARRIED THE ACFT BEYOND A NORMAL T/D POINT. AS CAPT IN COMMAND, IT BECAME APPARENT THE SAFEST COURSE OF ACTION WAS TO GO AROUND. WHICH I COMMANDED. A NORMAL GO AROUND WAS EXECUTED AND WE WERE VECTORED TO AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG ON RWY 17L.
