Narrative:
On climbout after acceleration height while performing the climb flows and checklist I noticed we weren't pressurizing at all. We leveled off at six thousand feet and asked for vectors from ATC so we could evaluate the situation. We weren't pressurizing in automatic or manual modes. After discussing the matter with maintenance on the company frequency we determined we needed to return to [departure airport]. After circling for 30 minutes or so to burn off fuel to get us within landing limits; we landed without incident and proceeded back to the gate.
