Narrative:

Pilot flying called take off power and air speed alive. Pilot monitoring was watching the engine instruments. At 70 KTS the pilot flying called for 70 KTS cross check; pilot not flying called airspeed zero; that is an abort. Pilot flying continued takeoff roll and departed the runway. The tower handed the flight over to departure. The pilot not flying checked in with departure control requested a 10 minute delay and returned to the airport. Departure control asked if an emergency needed to be declared; the pilot not flying stated; no we were just experiencing an inconvenience. The flight continued at the south side of the airport with air traffic providing vectors and altitudes. The flight was vectored and returned without incident. At the conclusion of the flight the crew found the pitot cover over the pitot tube and missing the flag normally attached to the cover.
