Narrative:

Due to the departure gate being closed; I was handling departures that were requesting routing over the atlantic. I coordinated with the next sector; noting that the aircraft would be on parallel headings and sector 2's control for turns east. The controller turned these aircraft without making the necessary point-outs to sector 20. Sector 20 called my d-side to advise that they were 'point-out approved' and I called R2 to verify that he was responsible for the point-outs if he turned the aircraft if below FL240. Recommendation; since we use different dta's for weather avoidance so often; it should be clearly stated in the SOP between sector 65 and sector 2 what headings; control for turns; and who is responsible for point-outs.
