Narrative:
On approach gear went down and noticed yellow hash marks followed by three red gear unsafe indications. [We] elected to over fly runway and go around. Once go around was initiated we got three green lights indicating gear was down and locked. Put gear up per go around procedure; complied with QRH entered left downwind put gear down and it extended normally. Once on ground talked to the assistant chief pilot and was advised that per the QRH this indication is not a maintenance event but potential normal condition known to the G200.

Title: After a G200 crew executed a go around for an unsafe gear indication; the gear indication appeared normal. They were informed by the Chief Pilot that the indication is a known anomaly and not a maintenance event.
