Narrative:
On FMS bridge visual approach; nct told us to fly 250 KTS until advised; then told us to maintain 210 KTS then slow to 160 KTS; and maintain visual on an airbus. Because of the assigned speed we were next to the airbus landing 28L as we landed 28R. We had a higher approach speed than the other aircraft. Cause; high assigned approach speed.
