Narrative:

We were cleared climb to FL360 and I was in a VNAV climb at .79M. As I was passing through FL350 I 'speed intervened' to .81M and the autopilot decreased the climb rate down to about 300 vvi to accelerate in the climb. There was traffic coming our way at 370 as well as 350. As we approached the 350 plane we received one TCAS 'traffic' call and noticed the lower plane was 700 ft lower altitude to us as we continued our climb; however; by the time our paths crossed we were 1;000 ft separation from both aircraft. Just prior to all three planes crossing paths ATC asked us to confirm level at FL360 and we told them we were climbing to 360 and were approaching it.

Title: An Air Carrier pilot slowed his aircraft's rate of climb approaching the assigned FL360 with crossing traffic at FL350 and FL370 so that TCAS sounded a single TRAFFIC alert and ATC requested altitude verification.
