Narrative:

During a low level training flight the left wing struck a parasailer cable which was attached to a winch system on the ground. It hung on the pitot tube for approximately 15 seconds resulting in damage to the wing. Flight characteristics were not affected and the aircraft returned to base without further occurrence. The area is a dry lake bed which is unmarked on the sectional as having paraglider activity. This area should be avoided by all aircraft due to the recreational activities being conducted.
