Narrative:

I was taxiing aircraft to park at terminal iah airport. Upon arrival, I was advised that my left wing tip struck a temperature fence constructed around a construction area adjacent to gate. I was following signals from an agent parking me. Initially, I tried to line up on a lead-in line which I found was an old line. There are 2 lead-in lines. The pavement was wet and the ramp lights are in your face while parking. I thought wing tip clearance was adequate. There were not any wing tip walkers. To prevent a recurrence, wing walkers should be available in tight areas, lead-in lines should be better marked.
