Narrative:
After landing 24L; we were instructed to hold short of 24R. As we were taxiing; tower told us to stop where we were; and asked us if we saw the hold bars. We said we did not. They said we taxied beyond the hold bar. Tower then cleared us to cross 24R. The hold bar was apparently much farther from the actual runway than we realized and we did not recognize it as the hold short position for 24R. No conflict mentioned or observed.
