Narrative:
We landed on 5L and were cleared to cross 5R via runway 10 and taxiway T. Upon entering T, we were cleared to gate as we taxied to gate, ground control informed us that taxiway left's lights were inoperative. As they informed us about the lights, we found ourselves going across the grass at the intersection of T and left. We did not see the grassy area. It was logged in the logbook. The mechanic found nothing wrong with the aircraft. Airport maintenance found no damage to taxiway or lights. Recommendation: some type of flashing 'temporary' lights along taxiway left.
