Narrative:

We were taxiing to runway for takeoff (runway 25L at cle). At the end of the runway there is another runway that also starts there and crosses at an angle. I don't remember the other runway's #. We were instructed to hold short of runway 25L. Because of this we crossed the first hold line (the one before the intersecting runway) and were expecting another hold line just before runway 25L. Just as we got on to the intersecting runway, the controller repeated, 'hold short, hold short.' we immediately stopped the aircraft on the intersecting runway, looked up and saw an airliner go right by us for a landing on runway 25L. The controller was very alert to our confusion ('good job,' to him). We need better and more visible hold lines in the USA., especially around areas where there are multiple runways and txwys intersecting. How about big signs like the canadians have in toronto to add to the visibility of a hold line for a runway, or as in this case, one hold line for 2 runways?
