Narrative:
I called ATC toa at marineland, and was told to report downwind the tower south for 29L, wind 260 at 15 KTS. I didn't enter the traffic pattern at a 45, it was more like a 90. I called the tower and reported abeam south and ATC said I was not in the pattern yet and another aircraft was turning right base for 29R and gave me clearance to land. By that time the tailwind was blowing me into a base leg and as I started turning for final I was across 29L final approach area. I called the tower and said I was overshooting my base leg and was turning back to 29L. I was looking for the other aircraft and got on final almost in 29R final approach area. About then I saw the other aircraft turning final for 29R about 300' behind me. I said on the radio, 'pretty good crosswind,' and someone said, 'your pretty good too.' I got back over to 29L and landed. The tower didn't say anything when I got off the runway and I called ground and taxied to my tie-down. I made a bad entry to the pattern and should have made a right 360 degree turn and re-entered on a better downwind, or asked for 29R and made my base and final into the wind instead of having a tailwind blowing me off course.

Title: CLOSE PROX 2 GA-SMA'S IN TOA ATA.
Narrative: I CALLED ATC TOA AT MARINELAND, AND WAS TOLD TO RPT DOWNWIND THE TWR S FOR 29L, WIND 260 AT 15 KTS. I DIDN'T ENTER THE TFC PATTERN AT A 45, IT WAS MORE LIKE A 90. I CALLED THE TWR AND RPTED ABEAM S AND ATC SAID I WAS NOT IN THE PATTERN YET AND ANOTHER ACFT WAS TURNING RIGHT BASE FOR 29R AND GAVE ME CLRNC TO LAND. BY THAT TIME THE TAILWIND WAS BLOWING ME INTO A BASE LEG AND AS I STARTED TURNING FOR FINAL I WAS ACROSS 29L FINAL APCH AREA. I CALLED THE TWR AND SAID I WAS OVERSHOOTING MY BASE LEG AND WAS TURNING BACK TO 29L. I WAS LOOKING FOR THE OTHER ACFT AND GOT ON FINAL ALMOST IN 29R FINAL APCH AREA. ABOUT THEN I SAW THE OTHER ACFT TURNING FINAL FOR 29R ABOUT 300' BEHIND ME. I SAID ON THE RADIO, 'PRETTY GOOD XWIND,' AND SOMEONE SAID, 'YOUR PRETTY GOOD TOO.' I GOT BACK OVER TO 29L AND LANDED. THE TWR DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING WHEN I GOT OFF THE RWY AND I CALLED GND AND TAXIED TO MY TIE-DOWN. I MADE A BAD ENTRY TO THE PATTERN AND SHOULD HAVE MADE A RIGHT 360 DEG TURN AND RE-ENTERED ON A BETTER DOWNWIND, OR ASKED FOR 29R AND MADE MY BASE AND FINAL INTO THE WIND INSTEAD OF HAVING A TAILWIND BLOWING ME OFF COURSE.
