Narrative:
Azo was using runway 17 and 9 at the time. We (aircraft X) were approaching from the northwest. Tower vectored us for a left base to 9. As we turned final tower alerted us to a possible go around due to an aircraft Y on short final to 17 who was experiencing radio problems. We had heard the tower try to contact aircraft Y 3 or 4 times with no answer. As we were on base we heard tower talk to us, the problem aircraft on 17 and another aircraft Z approaching from the west. Our concentration was on the approach (VFR) and the possible go around. Tower asked us for a 360 degree turn to separate us from the problem aircraft on 17. As we came out of the 360 degree turn back to final for 9, I saw through our back, left side window another aircraft Z lined up for runway 9, final. He was above us approximately 50' and 150-250' at our 7 O'clock position. I yelled to the pilot who banked right and called tower about the other aircraft. The tower yelled loudly, 'I have you both in sight.' aircraft Z apparently still did not see us as he said, 'have both of who in sight?' tower then vectored aircraft Z to left base for 17 and cleared us to land. No more was said of incident by either aircraft or tower. I believe tower was concerned with the radio problems (and possible hazards) of the aircraft on 17 and forgot he had 2 of us on final for 9 when he gave us the 360 degree turn. Lesson learned--can't become complacent in air traffic area, and listen better to other traffic in pattern.

Narrative: AZO WAS USING RWY 17 AND 9 AT THE TIME. WE (ACFT X) WERE APCHING FROM THE NW. TWR VECTORED US FOR A LEFT BASE TO 9. AS WE TURNED FINAL TWR ALERTED US TO A POSSIBLE GAR DUE TO AN ACFT Y ON SHORT FINAL TO 17 WHO WAS EXPERIENCING RADIO PROBLEMS. WE HAD HEARD THE TWR TRY TO CONTACT ACFT Y 3 OR 4 TIMES WITH NO ANSWER. AS WE WERE ON BASE WE HEARD TWR TALK TO US, THE PROB ACFT ON 17 AND ANOTHER ACFT Z APCHING FROM THE W. OUR CONCENTRATION WAS ON THE APCH (VFR) AND THE POSSIBLE GAR. TWR ASKED US FOR A 360 DEG TURN TO SEPARATE US FROM THE PROB ACFT ON 17. AS WE CAME OUT OF THE 360 DEG TURN BACK TO FINAL FOR 9, I SAW THROUGH OUR BACK, LEFT SIDE WINDOW ANOTHER ACFT Z LINED UP FOR RWY 9, FINAL. HE WAS ABOVE US APPROX 50' AND 150-250' AT OUR 7 O'CLOCK POS. I YELLED TO THE PLT WHO BANKED RIGHT AND CALLED TWR ABOUT THE OTHER ACFT. THE TWR YELLED LOUDLY, 'I HAVE YOU BOTH IN SIGHT.' ACFT Z APPARENTLY STILL DID NOT SEE US AS HE SAID, 'HAVE BOTH OF WHO IN SIGHT?' TWR THEN VECTORED ACFT Z TO LEFT BASE FOR 17 AND CLRED US TO LAND. NO MORE WAS SAID OF INCIDENT BY EITHER ACFT OR TWR. I BELIEVE TWR WAS CONCERNED WITH THE RADIO PROBS (AND POSSIBLE HAZARDS) OF THE ACFT ON 17 AND FORGOT HE HAD 2 OF US ON FINAL FOR 9 WHEN HE GAVE US THE 360 DEG TURN. LESSON LEARNED--CAN'T BECOME COMPLACENT IN ATA, AND LISTEN BETTER TO OTHER TFC IN PATTERN.
