Narrative:

An MTR was handed off on approach to runway 1L at andrews on a course coincident with the ILS final. On initial contact with adw radar, the MTR was cleared for the approach approximately 20 mi final. 7-10 mi later, dca and adw approach noticed the MTR veered off the final to the west. The computer recordings which were plotted showed the aircraft crossed the airspace boundary by .4 mi. The boundary is 1 mi west of the final approach course. There should be a wider buffer for protecting the final approach course for the ILS at adw.
