Narrative:
A cruise altitude, inappropriate to the direction of flight, was selected for passenger comfort as well as speed. Proceeding northwesterly to syr, ny, although it was a VFR day, it was quite hazy and visibility to the west was restr by the low sun. The first officer and several passenger saw the high wing type aircraft pass west to east under and aft of our aircraft.
