Narrative:
[I] filed an IFR flight plan for a training flight including sum to jxn to lfd vors along V221. Duats briefing did not indicate an issue with jxn VOR; but it could not be received. Fortunately; lfd VOR was functioning and ATC approved a direct to lfd alternative. If not already fixed; please fix the jxn VOR.also; lan and psi vors along route were non-operational; as indicated in briefing. Please fix. Lesson learned: VOR infrastructure deteriorating; so consider other navigational options.

Title: C177 pilot reports JXN VOR to be out of service but not NOTAMed.
