Narrative:
Received an aircraft during the normal flying day with an MEL item on it. MEL stated that an operational overspd shutdown check must be accomplished at the completion of the day's flying. Having failed to consult the MEL upon receiving the aircraft, it was not complied with on my part.

Title: NON COMPLIANCE WITH ACFT MEL ITEM.
Narrative: RECEIVED AN ACFT DURING THE NORMAL FLYING DAY WITH AN MEL ITEM ON IT. MEL STATED THAT AN OPERATIONAL OVERSPD SHUTDOWN CHECK MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED AT THE COMPLETION OF THE DAY'S FLYING. HAVING FAILED TO CONSULT THE MEL UPON RECEIVING THE ACFT, IT WAS NOT COMPLIED WITH ON MY PART.
