Narrative:
At XX15L, air carrier X departed the gate and called ground for taxi. Ground instructed us to taxi to runway 24L and hold short of runway 18 at taxiway north. We acknowledged the instructions. We proceeded to taxiway north. The hold lines at runway 18 are very worn and difficult to see when wet, as they were at this time. Both hold lines and the runway have no identification signs to mark their positions. After crossing both hold lines the crew realized their position and stopped immediately. The aircraft had not yet broken the vertical plane of the runway's edge. After we had stopped the aircraft ground called and reminded us of our clearance ot hold short. We acknowledged. An air carrier medium large transport was holding in position on runway 18. Ground instructed us to cross 18 without delay. We told ground we were not yet on the runway surface. Ground again cleared us to cross 18. As we began to taxi the medium large transport began its takeoff roll. As we crossed 18 the medium large transport aborted its takeoff on instructions from tower. Runway 18 is 8500' in length. Taxiway north is 5500' from the line-up end of 18.

Title: WHILE TAXIING, ACR X INADVERTENTLY CROSSED RWY HOLD LINES BEFORE COMING TO A STOP.
Narrative: AT XX15L, ACR X DEPARTED THE GATE AND CALLED GND FOR TAXI. GND INSTRUCTED US TO TAXI TO RWY 24L AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 18 AT TXWY N. WE ACKNOWLEDGED THE INSTRUCTIONS. WE PROCEEDED TO TXWY N. THE HOLD LINES AT RWY 18 ARE VERY WORN AND DIFFICULT TO SEE WHEN WET, AS THEY WERE AT THIS TIME. BOTH HOLD LINES AND THE RWY HAVE NO IDENTIFICATION SIGNS TO MARK THEIR POSITIONS. AFTER XING BOTH HOLD LINES THE CREW REALIZED THEIR POSITION AND STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. THE ACFT HAD NOT YET BROKEN THE VERTICAL PLANE OF THE RWY'S EDGE. AFTER WE HAD STOPPED THE ACFT GND CALLED AND REMINDED US OF OUR CLRNC OT HOLD SHORT. WE ACKNOWLEDGED. AN ACR MLG WAS HOLDING IN POSITION ON RWY 18. GND INSTRUCTED US TO CROSS 18 WITHOUT DELAY. WE TOLD GND WE WERE NOT YET ON THE RWY SURFACE. GND AGAIN CLRED US TO CROSS 18. AS WE BEGAN TO TAXI THE MLG BEGAN ITS TKOF ROLL. AS WE CROSSED 18 THE MLG ABORTED ITS TKOF ON INSTRUCTIONS FROM TWR. RWY 18 IS 8500' IN LENGTH. TXWY N IS 5500' FROM THE LINE-UP END OF 18.
