Narrative:

The brakes on the carts do not work. Even when engaged they still roll. They are also top heavy and tip easily. We encountered turbulence after the initial beverage service. A liquor cart was parked in the back of the plane with brake on. Flight attendants were asked to take our seats due to turbulence. We were sitting near the back of the plane in empty seats. A liquor cart fell over as a result of the turbulence. If we had been in our jumpseats the cart would have fallen on a flight attendant.
