Narrative:
While instructing a student pilot in an small aircraft X in the touch and go, right traffic pattern, runway 21, at good year airport, a near miss occurred. Turning a right downwind, the required call was given with an acknowledgement from the tower received for touch and go clearance with traffic on final. Prior to turning base a call was heard from spc Y helicopter. Tower answered the spc Y helicopter with a position request. None was given from spc Y helicopter. At 600' AGL on base the spc Y helicopter was observed on an unauthorized straight in. A go around was initiated, as full power was applied, a call from good year tower was received and answered, to go around. The spc Y helicopter continued straight in to runway 21 and landed. The aircraft had approximately 400' of separation at the time of this incident.
