Narrative:
Houston approach vectored me to the localizer at dwh then advised contact tower on 126.2(?) which I repeated back. Called 'hooker tower, small aircraft xx'. Tower: 'say position xx'. '6 north on the localizer'. Tower: 'are you landing on 22?' 'I'm lined up on 17 but I'll take any runway. Tower: 'cleared for 22.' (I checked approach plate and found no runway 22 and noted frequency was different. Asked tower if was dwh, replied 'ellington tower'. Changed frequency to dwh who cleared me to land without incident from about 4 mi out on runway 17R. This is the 2ND time in 2 months I have been handed off to wrong airport.
