Narrative:
During a period of busy traffic, I was forced to advise an small aircraft that radar contact was lost due to the radar not painting any target on my scope. I later (about 8 flying miles) was able to reidentify this aircraft. This happens quite often in this area. It would be quite easy to totally forget this aircraft if I was much busier. This situation is terrible!
