Narrative:

Went through standard procedures before takeoff. Everything was completed on the checklist and ok. After takeoff we followed ATC instructions and then went through the after takeoff checklist. Everything was completed and checked ok except for the landing gear. The landing gear did not come up. The gear selector switch was in the up position, but the gear was down with a 3 green indication. (I can only see 3 green from my position.) in our attempt to get the gear up, the gear selector switch was cycled many times between the up and down position. There was always a 3 green indication, no gear in transit indication. All the circuit breakers were checked and found to be normal. There was no circuit breaker light on the master caution warning panel. Next all the circuit breakers for the landing gear were cycled. We recycled the landing gear selector and still no movement. Finally, we used the tiller to see if the nose gear was not centered. The gear would still not come up. We advised ATC we were returning because we could not get our gear up. ATC asked if we needed fire equipment. We responded no. On final, the before landing checklist was completed and I could see 3 green. On short final we asked ATC to confirm our gear was down. ATC advised us it was down. At touchdown we were less than 80 KTS with 3 green and no gear unsafe light. After touchdown and a few seconds down the runway, the gear unsafe light came on, but no horn. The aircraft started to skid sideways and stopped halfway down the runway. The passenger was evacuated and the captain shut everything down. I believe this incident was caused by a faulty gear selector switch or faulty squawk switches on the landing gear. I think closer inspection of the landing gear by maintenance personnel would help to prevent such problem.

Title: FLT CREW OF SMT UNABLE TO RAISE GEAR AFTER TKOF. RETURN. LANDED. GEAR COLLAPSED.

Narrative: WENT THROUGH STANDARD PROCS BEFORE TKOF. EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETED ON THE CHECKLIST AND OK. AFTER TKOF WE FOLLOWED ATC INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN WENT THROUGH THE AFTER TKOF CHECKLIST. EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETED AND CHECKED OK EXCEPT FOR THE LNDG GEAR. THE LNDG GEAR DID NOT COME UP. NEXT ALL THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE LNDG GEAR WERE CYCLED. WE RECYCLED THE LNDG GEAR SELECTOR AND STILL NO MOVEMENT. ON FINAL, THE BEFORE LNDG CHECKLIST WAS COMPLETED AND I COULD SEE 3 GREEN. ON SHORT FINAL WE ASKED ATC TO CONFIRM OUR GEAR WAS DOWN. ATC ADVISED US IT WAS DOWN. AT TOUCHDOWN WE WERE LESS THAN 80 KTS WITH 3 GREEN AND NO GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT. AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND A FEW SECONDS DOWN THE RWY, THE GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT CAME ON, BUT NO HORN. THE ACFT STARTED TO SKID SIDEWAYS AND STOPPED HALFWAY DOWN THE RWY. THE PAX WAS EVACUATED AND THE CAPT SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN. I BELIEVE THIS INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH OR FAULTY SQUAWK SWITCHES ON THE LNDG GEAR. I THINK CLOSER INSPECTION OF THE LNDG GEAR BY MAINT PERSONNEL WOULD HELP TO PREVENT SUCH PROBLEM.
