Narrative:

Emergency: cold air causing physical debilitation of pilot. No knowledge of air show at urbana before arriving. Too late and too cold to divert elsewhere after already having invaded the airspace. Waited for air show traffic to clear before landing. I would do it again, given my physical state. (Radio not operative.) in 9/89, a and B left galesburg, il, aiming for frankfort as the first stop. As we approached chanute field with attica as the following check point on the way to frankfort, a (having already been feeling cold) suddenly got chills and shakes. We had left galesburg, il, with blue skies and warm air. The sky then began to get dark and full cloudy, with no visible sun. A told B to set down as soon as possible and suggested going south to urbana. B headed for urbana and upon arriving, discovered the air show in progress.
