Narrative:
Aircraft X was cleared to the aqe NDB on departure to remain clear of gsb Z airspace until coordination was affected. Aircraft X departed swbnd instead of north. When asked where he was going, pilot said pdk. When asked if he was cleared to aqe, he said 'well, yeah'. Called gsb Z and they pointed out traffic northeast bound headed for rdu and in the path of nzwc. Had to immediately turn nzwc to the east to avoid traffic that had been pointed out to me. Conflict alert never activated.
