Narrative:
Normal approach to soft field landing set up. Aircraft settled onto runway in the first third of runway at slightly above 45 KTS, full back pressure on yoke applied to keep nose wheel off of runway. With approximately 400' of runway remaining, brakes were applied and aircraft would not slow down as fast as normal due to damp grass. With aircraft in the taxi mode at approximately 5-8 KTS we attempted to taxi off of runway and aircraft slid on wet grass off of end of runway into ditch.
