Narrative:

I was PIC taxiing the light transport bizjet X on the ramp. In the process of maneuvering the aircraft for a left 180 degree turn between a parked mdt Y and another light transport, I mistakenly did not consider the height of the tail of my aircraft for the clearance under the wing tip of the Y. At the same moment as I applied the brakes, realizing the posing situation, I hit the Y's wing with the right horizontal stabilizer. I did not know that I made contact until inspecting the damage on the outside. I did not have a lineman to marshall me in the parking space until after the fact, until such a person came running over, signalling me to stop (which I had already done). I believe the situation could have been avoided had our attention not been distracted from the uncertainty of finding a good place to park, and if we had a lineman there to show and guide us where to park. In addition, my copilot and I hadn't slept in the past 26 hours, which I feel significantly affected our judgement. Damage: right horizontal stabilizer (leading edge) was dented in about 2-3'; the vertical stabilizer was buckled in the skin. The aircraft was barely moving forward, but the tail was pivoting around for the turn.

Title: LTT, ATTEMPTING 180 DEGREE TURN IN PLACE IN CROWDED RAMP PARKING AREA, STRIKES ANOTHER PARKED ACFT. ACFT DAMAGE.

Narrative: I WAS PIC TAXIING THE LTT BIZJET X ON THE RAMP. IN THE PROCESS OF MANEUVERING THE ACFT FOR A LEFT 180 DEG TURN BTWN A PARKED MDT Y AND ANOTHER LTT, I MISTAKENLY DID NOT CONSIDER THE HEIGHT OF THE TAIL OF MY ACFT FOR THE CLRNC UNDER THE WING TIP OF THE Y. AT THE SAME MOMENT AS I APPLIED THE BRAKES, REALIZING THE POSING SITUATION, I HIT THE Y'S WING WITH THE RIGHT HORIZ STABILIZER. I BELIEVE THE SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD OUR ATTN NOT BEEN DISTRACTED FROM THE UNCERTAINTY OF FINDING A GOOD PLACE TO PARK, AND IF WE HAD A LINEMAN THERE TO SHOW AND GUIDE US WHERE TO PARK. IN ADDITION, MY COPLT AND I HADN'T SLEPT IN THE PAST 26 HRS, WHICH I FEEL SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTED OUR JUDGEMENT. DAMAGE: RIGHT HORIZ STABILIZER (LEADING EDGE) WAS DENTED IN ABOUT 2-3'; THE VERT STABILIZER WAS BUCKLED IN THE SKIN. THE ACFT WAS BARELY MOVING FORWARD, BUT THE TAIL WAS PIVOTING AROUND FOR THE TURN.
