Gulfport, ms, ATIS frequency is the same as memphis, tn, ATIS frequency (119.45), and they interfere with each other. It is impossible to get mem ATIS when inbound from so, southeast or southwest at high altitude. Must wait until very close to mem and this interferes with descent checklist.

Narrative: GULFPORT, MS, ATIS FREQ IS THE SAME AS MEMPHIS, TN, ATIS FREQ (119.45), AND THEY INTERFERE WITH EACH OTHER. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET MEM ATIS WHEN INBND FROM SO, SE OR SW AT HIGH ALT. MUST WAIT UNTIL VERY CLOSE TO MEM AND THIS INTERFERES WITH DSCNT CHKLIST.
