Narrative:
Approach advised of a low altitude alert. We were asked if we had the airport in sight and responded in the negative. Our altitude was 1600' that specified on the approach plate for the approach at our location. Again approach advised of a low altitude alert and indicated our altitude should be 2600'. 2000' is the altitude on the ILS approach. I believe the controller forgot we were making an approach using the lda-DME and not the ILS which was OTS. His insistence about being at 2600' got our attention, however we did complete the approach as published.

Title: ATC ADVISES LOW ALT ALERT ACTIVATED BY MLG ON LDA APCH.
Narrative: APCH ADVISED OF A LOW ALT ALERT. WE WERE ASKED IF WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT AND RESPONDED IN THE NEGATIVE. OUR ALT WAS 1600' THAT SPECIFIED ON THE APCH PLATE FOR THE APCH AT OUR LOCATION. AGAIN APCH ADVISED OF A LOW ALT ALERT AND INDICATED OUR ALT SHOULD BE 2600'. 2000' IS THE ALT ON THE ILS APCH. I BELIEVE THE CTLR FORGOT WE WERE MAKING AN APCH USING THE LDA-DME AND NOT THE ILS WHICH WAS OTS. HIS INSISTENCE ABOUT BEING AT 2600' GOT OUR ATTN, HOWEVER WE DID COMPLETE THE APCH AS PUBLISHED.
